Step aboard our wine tour bus for a delightful journey through Sussex’s stunning wine country from the beautiful historic village of Rye. The Great British Wine Tour’s Rye Wine Tour offers a unique and immersive experience, visiting two award-winning vineyards for a day filled with fine wines, breathtaking scenery, and delicious local produce.
Your adventure begins with convenient pick uup locations at Camber sands and Rye village before taking you on a scenic drive through beautiful landscapes, accompanied by an expert guide who shares fascinating insights into English winemaking. Enjoy a guided tour of the vineyard and winery at Oxney Organic Estate wine estate, learning about their meticulous production process from grape to glass, followed by a tasting of elegant, award-winning sparkling wines. A picnic lunch amongst the vines follows .
Next, we travel to our second award-wining vineyard for another tutored wine tasting and time to explore the vineyard before its back on the bus to Rye
A highlight of the day is a delicious hamper lunch amongst the vines, filled with locally sourced treats and perfectly paired with a glass of English wine. This idyllic picnic setting allows you to relax and soak in the beautiful surroundings.

The Sussex Wine tour, Rye runs on Saturdays from 11am until 4:30pm between May – October. Check the calendar for the date of your choice. Price £135 per person.

You don’t have a tour running when we’d like to visit. What can we do?
No problem! We can arrange this wine tour as a private experience on a date that suits you. Alternatively, we can open your tour to other guests, which is a great way to keep costs down. Please get in touch, and we’ll be happy to talk you through the options.
Which vineyards do you visit?
We visit Oxney Organic Estate in the morning for a guided tour and lunch, followed by an afternoon tasting at Charles Palmer Vineyards.
Is there a lot of walking involved?
Not much. The activity level is low — there’s a short guided walk through the vines and winery, and you’re welcome to explore further among the vines during your picnic if you wish.
