Wiston Estate Vineyard

Nestled among the chalk hills of the South Down is Wiston Estate Vineyard

The Goring family have been custodians of the Wiston Estate since 1743.  The deep rooted family history and connection to the land is integral to their award-winning wines.   

 In 2006, the Goring family planted a south-facing 16-acre site with Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay vines. Wiston has a winery and restaurant on site which showcases this exceptional vineyard, now combining the best Sussex food with their sparkling wines.

The traditional Coquard press at Wiston is one of only four outside of France and is unique to the UK. Its large surface area and exceptionally gentle pressing enables extraction of the very highest quality. This is at the heart of Wiston’s winemaking philosophy to maximise the purity of the juice at pressing, followed by minimum intervention in the winemaking process.
